Pickup and dropoff near the festival

Take the stress out of riding during the festival with pickup and dropoff in the area. After the festival, walking further away from traffic and road closures (past Lamar Blvd.) will make it easier to connect with your driver and leave the area.

01

When you’re ready to go to the festival, type “Austin City Limits Music Festival” or “Zilker Park” into your app as your destination. This will update your destination to the nearest dropoff point around the festival.

02

After the festival, head east on Barton Springs Road away from Zilker Park. The farther you walk from traffic and road closures, the easier it will be for your driver to reach you.

03

You will still use your app to request a ride as normal.

Austin-based musicians/drivers took the stage at Uber and Radio Live.

The first weekend of ACL Fest, October 5-7, drivers took the stage at a larger-than-life car radio on the path to the festival. We blew up a car radio to maximum proportions, featuring a live cover band playing your requests and drivers playing their original music. In case you missed it, here’s a short recap.

Cruise on 2 wheels with
JUMP electric bikes

Due to traffic in the area, riding a JUMP electric bike to Zilker Park may be the quickest way to get to the festival. Available directly through your Uber app, JUMP bikes are electric-assist and provide a boost with every pedal, making it easier for riders to get up hills and across town without breaking a sweat.

Redeem up to $5 off a ride with code ATX5OCT (must be applied in the JUMP app prior to the ride)*

*code must be applied before 10/14/18 and is good for both current and new users.

Pro tip: Carry your festival gear with JUMP Bike’s convenient basket on the front of the bike.

Pro tips for riding to and from ACL Music Festival

Share your location with your drive.

Riders can show their exact location to their drivers by turning on Live Location Sharing. Location sharing is only during the pickup experience.

Share your trip with loved ones.

You can now share your whereabouts and trip status with friends and family, all right from the app.

Chat in-app.

Contact your driver directly through the Uber app for the perfect pickup.

Use Spotlight.

Sometimes when you’re in a crowded area or it’s nighttime, it may be more difficult for your driver to find you. With Spotlight, you can light up your phone with a special color specific to your driver.

Get in the right car. (and other safety tips)

Before you get in the car, check that the license plate, driver photo, and driver name all match what’s listed in the app. Rides can only be requested through the app, so never get in a car with a driver who claims to be with Uber and offers you a ride without checking first.
